Y'all it's Fall!!! Well it's been fall for over a week but now it's October and that just screams fall to me!! This week has been a whirlwind with our return from Disneyland, back into the swing of work and then me taking my first sick day from work.
Here's what been going on and catching my eye.
::ONE::
I have been working on colors with Ellie for a while. When I ask her to point out a certain color or grab a certain color she does great and gets the right one about 90% of the time. However, when I ask her what color an item/toy is she will more likely than not say "Blue" no matter what the actual color is. SO I wanted to remedy that and started a color exploration with her. I gathered all the pink items and toys I could find and put them in a pink container.
What I did with this Pink bin was pull out each item and talk about what it is and that it is the color pink. I handed each item to her after we talked about it so she could look at it and check it out. Then after we went through all the items I let her just play and explore with the "Pink Toys". We are going to be working on this color for a week to hopefully imprint the word "pink" with the color pink in her brain. I started this on Wednesday (because on Wednesdays we wear play with pink) and today on Friday she is identifying the color pink on her clothes and other toys as well. #patsselfonback

I shared my most recent Stitch Fix with y'all here, and let me tell you keeping everything was the right way to go. Each item has been on repeat since I opened the box and I just can't get enough. Today I am rocking the Dolman top with the Liverpool jeans and both are so comfortable and work perfectly with being a mom (and nanny) while sitting on the floor and changing diapers all day. If you haven't signed up for Stitch Fix yet please do so with my referral link - that way I can get a nice little bonus on my next fix!!

Just a little PSA for the PSL at Panera...just don't. I know not every coffee shop is going to make them the same but the one at Panera is just all sugar. Its so sweet it made my teeth hurt and I couldn't taste any coffee at all whatsoever. You'll thank me.
::FOUR::
I have to share this because its so beautiful!!
Astleigh shared it and its a free printable!! I love Anne of Green Gables and I love October so this is a perfect match!
::FIVE::
That's all I've got for this week.
Happy Friday Y'all

I'm getting my first stitch fix post baby in a couple weeks. Yours got me even more excited! I'm not a PSL fan but that's good to know :)
ReplyDeleteLove your pink color exploration bin! Purple vs. pink is tough for Sweet P, and I'm wondering if it's because we never formally studied pink. Also, thank you for the PSL advice! I don't really care for Panera so I don't think I'd be there ordering one anyone, but, you know, justincase ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the color exploration bins! I've been wanting to start something similar with the alphabet. Each week you do a different letter and gather things that start with that letter in a box :) Have a great weekend, Ashley!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the PSL warning. Nothing is more frustrating than a bad cup of coffee... Okay I am sure lots of things are but I think you know what I mean :).
ReplyDeleteLove the pink bin, that is so super cute and a great idea!
Have a great Monday!
I love the color bin idea! Super cute.
