Tuesday Confessional

I can't seem to find the post now, (about some of my fears) but that could be due to me being somewhat delirious with catching the bug that Ellie had on Sunday.  Luckily she recovered quickly only abou 6 hours of sickness. And she couldn't help herself in posing for a quick photo shoot!!

I am dying over floral on the babe - and really want some for myself!

It was a day like today that I was actually thankful that we just have Ellie - not sure how I would have survived today with two or more...Ellie was a total champ. She played by herself and really didn't get into too much trouble while I was in and out of sleep on the floor. I also brought her into her room since it's more confined and there really isn't anything "off limits" in there. I woke up to find her asleep on the floor near the door way! What a sweetie!

I cannot tell you how much more relaxed I am that I'm no longer teaching. I posted about my dislike of meeting new people and the anxiety it gave me. That was not a trait I wanted to pass on to Ellie, especially since she is so naturally friendly! So I knew I needed to work on it. I reflected a lot and notched that my "stranger danger" was due to the inconsistency and instability of my profession (since I kept getting laid off due to budget cuts). I started to work on it last spring when I decided to attend MOPs. I was unsure if it was something I wanted to continue but when the first meeting date came around in October I just knew I had to do it. And I'm so glad I did. I'm still fairly reserved but it feels so good. I also went out on a total limb to attend a friends Pinterest Party, the host was the only one I knew and I actually had a great time. I'm so glad to be reaching out. I know for a fact that my anxiety was tied up in teaching (and also the loss of my mom, horse and four miscarriages PTSD?) I am so glad with the career change I've made and that I have made these changes to better both my life and Ellie's!!!

Another confession, which y'all probably already know: I'm short, like 5' short. I have totally embraced this and love it even more because I can get clothes and shoes on discount (ie children's section) I learned this weekend the extra bonus is that Ellie and I can totally twin it up! See below, thank you kids section!

Oh and today is Epiphany. So that means that Christmas is officially over on the farm here and it's time to start cleaning it all up, de clutter, and organize our life a little more!

I also can shop sometimes in the children's part and I love it. I am a teacher what did you use to teach? Is this your first year off? I wish I could stay home :( I am proud of you for venturing out

  5. You two are too cute! I'm a former teacher as well. I knew when I got pregnant I was going to be a SAHM, luckily we were able to do that. I'm not going to lie though, I do miss it, but wouldn't trade being at home with my little one. :) It's good that you are more relaxed now that you aren't teaching.
