My birthday is in less than a week! I can't believe that it is almost here again! I will turn 31 on March 17th. Yes I am a St. Patrick's Day baby and I love it so much. Green is my favorite color and I have an affinity for my Irish background. One of the best things about having a holiday birthday is that when stores and people start decorating for the holiday I always exclaim "Look! its for my birthday!!" I guess you could say that I am lucky that I don't share my special day with a more prominent holiday but I just love that everyone celebrates my birthday (whether they know it or not)!!
One thing I have noticed as I have gotten older and after adopting Ellie, it's hard for me to come up with a wishlist for myself! I am always drawn to items for our house or things I can use for Ellie. So I have been thinking long and hard about what I want for my birthday this year.
This is what I have come up with:
This phone case. I upgraded to an iPhone 5C back in October and have found its very challenging to find a cover case for it, not to mention one that I actually like. If you have been around here for a while you will know that I have recently become obsessed with floral. So this would be the perfect way to curb that!! Unfortunately it is sold out at the moment, but I can wait for it because I just love it so much!
Toms. Any pair will do, really since I already have a few basic neutrals. I am open to going a little more bold or daring in the shoe department. They are so comfortable and super easy to get on and off. Plus I just love how with every pair sold a pair goes to someone in need!! I will take a 5.5 or a 6 please!!
I would love a new bag to carry all of our stuff in when Ellie and I go to our nanny houses. I am currently using our diaper bag and then a reusable grocery bag for all the extras (like cloth diapers, changes of clothes, and blankies). I am loving this of course because of my affair with floral but this neutral one would probably be better suited for the purpose and longevity (now to choose a color combo!).
And finally if you are really stumped in what to get me, you can always donate to our Adoption Fund via GoFundMe. It has always been a dream of mine to be a Mama and when we were faced with four miscarriages and 5 years of infertility battles my heart broke. Thankfully through adoption we have our daughter, Ellie, and are so in love. Our dream is to one day be a family of 6, and are looking forward to adopting a brother for Ellie. The process is long, stressful, emotional and expensive but oh so worth it in the end when you are holding that precious little baby and get to call them "mine"!! Thank you for finding it in your heart to help us grow our family, we really can't do it without you!!
