Weekending - the first in October

Well we finished up our first weekend in October and totally lived it up!  I'm loving all the time we get to spend as a family and the opportunity to go out and do things.  While it's my dream to just stay home and do things around the house - we all get cabin fever and have to leave!!

On Friday, I sent Ellie off to school for picture day (without taking any pictures of her cute self myself #fail) and then the two littles and I hung out for pretty much most of the day.  Finnley is 10000000% obsessed with Séamus and her best trait is giving him his Paci.  I'm so glad that they're going to get to have all this time to bond with each other before she goes off to PreSchool next year.

During naptime I opened up our Essential Rewards boxes and was just giddy with all the things we ordered.  Making the "Ditch and Switch" is something that we are slowly doing over time.  So each month when we are replacing one of our chemical laden products with a plant based essential oil infused one from Young Living just gives me so much more peace.  You don't have to do it all at once and I love the mantra:

"Know Better, Do Better"

and in reality that is all that we can really do at this point.  Interested in getting safe products in your home?  Sign up here for your Young Living PSK and membership!!

On Saturday, we had a slower morning completing lots of chores since we knew we were going to be gone for most of the day.  I vacuumed the house, we cleaned up the bathrooms, and gave the kitchen a once over.  Young Living released their Holiday Guide and it is all soo good!!  I have my eye on the Culinary Kit...so I might gift myself early this year! Items are only available for Quick Order and then whatever is left can go on your Essential Rewards order starting November 1st.  Don't have an account yet?  Sign up for your PSK here with me and start your Holiday shopping early!

Then we were off to my BFF's house to show off Séamus and have some good for the soul friend time.  We're the best at taking pictures....so there are only about 4 from our entire day together.  We hung out at their house, talked about changing the world, and made our way to their local Farmer's Market before having lunch at their place!  The girls had so much fun playing with their daughter and Séamus lived his best life being oogled and loved on (and of course no pictures).

The babies fell asleep on the way home so we ordered pizza for dinner and picked that up.  Once home we transferred them to their rooms to finish up their naps.  I did some mopping (Ellie helped) and we had some great 1:1 time with our big girl.  Once the littles were up, we had dinner and played with kinetic sand.

On Sunday, I gave poached eggs another try.  They are so hard to do right and they are my favorite way to eat them, so I have work to do.  After breakfast we made our way out (see we just can't stay home) to check on some new fishing boots for Thomas, since the sole of his is coming apart.  Since we were out we decided to stop in at Target and then run by the grocery store to get a few more ingredients for dinner!

We ate the rest of the pizza for lunch. Finished up washing our bedding and I made the bed, while Thomas entertained all the kiddos as the girls dressed up as fairies and Séamus wondered what in the world has he gotten himself into.

During naptime I made a pumpkin pie, because Fall.  Then after some reading and play time, we started up dinner, Chicken Noodle Soup.  It was perfect for the cold and rainy Fall day.  We finished up the night with ice cream and the Walking Dead!!

How was your weekend??

Hello Friday! the first of October

Y'all, I am so glad we all get to live in a world where there are Octobers!!
I'm not sure what it is about this time of year but it is always so welcome, I want to say that Fall is my favorite time of year but I also really love Spring.  The crispness in the air, the pumpkins, the colors of the leaves, the scarves and sweaters, I just love it all!

ONE

A few years ago I dressed Ellie in a "new Fall" outfit every day of October.  It was one of my favorite things that I've done but now with two other children and all the things we have going on...I'm making an excuse that I just can't come up with 3 different outfits every single day this month that are Fall'ish.  Plus we are already 5 days into the month and I haven't done anything about it yet....next year when all three are walking!!

TWO

Going to the Pumpkin Patch is an outing that we do every year and I love it so very much.  I've probably mentioned it before but I could not get Thomas to go until after Ellie joined our family.  In retrospect I love that its a tradition we started once we had children.  We haven't made a date for our visit this year but I'm just thrilled to be taking all three of our punkins to the pumpkin patch!! You can see our past visits:

Can't wait to add this year to the lineup!!

THREE

Kindergarten has finally caught up with Ellie!  She has been loving "reading" to her brother and the number of times she's fallen asleep in the car on the way home...her days are long and she is loving every minute of it and has been asking if she can go to bed every night before her bed time 👐 how can you say no to that?!!  Ellie loves her nighttime routine though and insists on her diffuser being set up and ready every night.  She loves to show me all the cool new tricks she can do on the playground and is very involved in picking out her lunch for the next day.

FOUR

Our Disneyland Annual Pass's expired in September and we currently don't have plans to renew them for this year 😭.  We've talked about it and think that when we do decide to renew we will probably just have either me or Thomas get a Pass and then we'll get the 3/4 day hoppers for the rest of us.  Making that choice means that we won't be going to Disney as often but we will still get to benefit from having an Annual Pass.  We adored our year with our Passes and went to the parks 4 times this year for 4-5 days each time.  Our last trip we got to bring Séamus with us and it was extremely hot but also super fun having all of us there!!

FIVE

We've been all about the Fall diffuser blends since mid September and they have been giving us all the feels!!  Some of our favorites:

🌰Spice is Nice🌰
Thieves + Lemon + Stress Away

🍩🍎Apple Cider Doughnuts🍎🍩
Stress Away + Thieves

🍂Orchard Stroll🍂
Bergamot + Orange + Cedarwood

🍁Flannel Shirt🍁
Northern Lights Black Spruce + Stress Away

SIX

And then also because the promo's this month are just so good I want you all to know about them!! I was so excited that they are giving Cinnamon Bark for FREE this month because I totally had that in my order and now I get if free!!  I almost cried when I saw Palo Santo on the promo's as well.  This oil has been on my wish list since the beginning and now I get it FREE this month, I just can't get over all the goodness!  Not a member yet? Don't worry you can sign up here with me and take advantage of these promos when you sign up for Essential Rewards at the same time (that's what the smart kids are doing - I wasn't a smart kid and waited a month before ER...don't be like me sign up right away and reap all the benefits!)

Happy Weekend Y'all....make sure you hit up a pumpkin patch!!

The Séamus Weekly - week 10

Our sweet Séamus is 10 weeks old! That is just crazy to me.  We stayed home this week which probably isn't much of a shocker. I remember Ellie and Finnley's 10th week so well and here we are with Séa's.  I finally had the chance to stay home after school drop off for a couple of days and it was just so nice to be able to chill, get some things done around the house, and let the littles nap!!

Sleeps: little man has been an awesome sleeper...in the day time.  His nighttime sleep is leaving for much to be desired, he is probably sleeping 2-3 hour stretches but is super noisy with his grunting and such.  He is still sleeping in our room, in a combination of his Halo, Snuggleme and our bed. Also he does not sleep well if I've had anything to drink, like hard cider or even kombucha, so those are out for the time being. 😕

Eats: same thing as all the previous weeks.  I do have to say that his latch is so much better and breastfeeding is going really well.  He is quite the drooley little babe so sometimes I think there is a leak but it's probably just his excess drool.   I have just been nursing him on demand and don't really keep track of how often, he is still gaining weight (already 10lbs) so whatever we're doing is working. 😉

Goes: to his 2 month check up, and to Finnley's xRay appointment, grocery store and the pool.  I'm pretty sure that we're going to let him dip his toes into the pool next time!!

Wears: well I have officially gone through his drawers and removed all the newborn clothing.  So little man is now in 0-3 month clothing and filling it out quite nicely.  Also since he is a little bit bigger his feet are fitting into his footed onesies much better that he doesn't get fussy in them anymore.  We have quite the collection of this size so I'm excited to start dressing him in these clothes now!

Does: Séamus still is loving tummy time and can roll onto his back, he is playing with his hanging toys on his playmat way more.  He is smiling and cooing which is just the best and is so much more interactive.  Each week he is growing and able to do so much more and I just love him growing up.

Mama: I was standing there looking at Séamus last night as I changed his diaper (which he loves) I became overwhelmed with Joy that we have a BOY and that he is HERE!!  He is so much better than I ever imagined and while I wouldn't wish our difficult journey to Séamus on anyone, he was totally worth it all and I am so grateful that we didn't give up and gave IVF a chance!!  Séamus and I went to a Bunco night with my MOPs group on Friday and we had a great time.  I am still loving my new business and the fact that I get to share something I love with people is the best!

Sisiters: Finnley got her sling off and she now has TWO arms again!! Car rides have been immensely better, her attitude has improved and so far no finger sucking!!!  Her vocabulary has really taken off and I can understand so much more of what she is saying - which is a relief for all of us. Ellie is loving cheerleading and is really interested in "reading" which is just the best!!  She's been eating a much more varied diet and still really prefers her green vegetables!  Ellie is incredibly helpful and seriously has the sweetest heart.  Both girls are obsessed with baby bro, they love to help him with his paci, hold him pretty much all the time and smother him with kisses!
