Week 4 already?!! Séamus had quite the eventful week with his first airplane ride, visit to Disneyland and hotel stay.
Sleeps: boyfriend basically slept the whole way on the airplane, the whole time in Disneyland, and then was awake all night in the hotel 😉. He slept in our arms, in the SnuggleMe, in the stroller, and in the Ergo. He slept on rides, he slept through meals, he slept through Character meet and greets. It was HOT as H*** in Disneyland and all this baby wanted to do was sleep.
Eats: the only other thing this boy did on our trip to Disneyland was nurse. He nursed in the airport, he nursed on the plane and he nursed in the taxi. He nursed during parades, he nursed on the rides and he nursed all night long! My boobs have never seen so much of Disneyland but I loved the ease and convenience of whipping out a boob when he was hungry. It was so much better than having to deal with bottles and formula like we did with Finnley and Thomas and I kept commenting on how nice it was to not have to lug all that around with us.
Wears: still rocking the newborn clothes but we ran out of newborn diapers so we brought size 1s with us on our trip and while they are big on him the did the trick and kept all of us clean and dry! We did bring some 0-3 month clothing for him, which is big but it was character appropriate so we just went with it.
Goes: to Disneyland! Obvi. but he has also gone on his fair share of trips to Target, to his cousin's birthday party, and out to eat on multiple occasions.
Mama: going on a vacation 3 weeks post delivery with a two year old who has a broken collarbone is crazy, especially as a family of five on an airplane going to Disneyland in the heat of summer. Thankfully we had back up and Thomas parent's came with us. Despite the potential crazy, I brought my oils with me and they really helped us all with the emotional support we needed. I loved getting to watch my girls enjoy Disneyland again and to have our sweet boy there with us really was the icing on the cake. It was actually one of the easiest trips since we didn't have to worry about bottles and formula...let me tell you what a stressor that was when traveling with the girls when they were babes. I really am feeling great and we're settling into the family of Five thing so well.
Sisters: They loved Disneyland! Ellie loved being able to go on the rides for 40"and up since she finally was tall enough (just barely) as well as giving Séamus all the lovin's he might possibly ever need. Finnley kept us on our toes with her wild antics but loved sharing the rides with her brother. Since we've been home it's been a challenge to keep the girls off of him, which I believe to be a good thing. We're all about encouraging sibling love around here!
