Disneyland August 2018

Y'all, we just got back from Disneyland.  It was Ellie's 9th trip, Finnley's 6th trip, Séamus's 1st trip and our 4th trip as Annual Passholder's.

Yes we're that crazy family who goes to Disneyland for 4 days just a mere 3 weeks after a Csection delivery, with a newborn, an excited 5 year old, and a 2 year old with a freshly broken collarbone 😂 in the heat of the summer.

Seriously though, it was just the vacation we needed and we didn't do it alone.  Thomas's parents flew down with us and we met up with his brother and family!!  Ellie sat with Nanny and Papa on the plane, Séamus slept practically the whole flight down, and Finnley fully enjoyed having her own seat on the airplane for the first time... Ellie and Finnley loved having their Nanny and Papa with us as well as their cousins!!

The weather was H O T as hell and if you know me I don't really do well in anything over 72༠, so with the heat in the mid to upper 80's and high humidity you can guess how pleasant I was 😉.  I found lots of reprieve in the Baby Care centers in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, going into the shops and finding all the shade I could.  All the dark rides became my favorites (and Séamus nursed on most of them) and the girls really enjoyed riding in the stroller.  We even managed to figure out a way to get all 3 kids on it!!

While we were riding the Carousel, Belle and the Beast showed up!

Ellie and Thomas were lucky enough to get to ride with them!!

Hooray for all five of us in one row on Pirates of the Caribbean!

Finnley was all about the "Choo Choos" so we had to make sure to take a ride.

This was our last trip/visit to Disneyland as Annual Passholders.  Our passes expire in September and we don't have plans to renew.  So we tried to make the most of our trip despite the heat.  We went on almost all the rides, ate our favorite foods, and enjoyed just being in the park.  We also watched two parades: the Pixar and the Paint the Night.

Thomas favorite ride as a child was "it's a small world", he was so excited to take his boy on it.

Ellie is forever our little fashionista.

It wouldn't be a Disney trip with out Cozy Cone soft serve.

shortly after this Finnley fell asleep in her high chair.

I got to ride on Dumbo with my big girl and baby boy.

The highlight of our trip was that Ellie is finally 40 inches tall!!!! She's a shortcake for sure and we've been talking up the big rides for Ellie for a long time and we're so very happy that she was finally tall enough to ride on some of our favorite rides: Thunder Mountain and Radiator Springs Racers!!  Of course our little thrill seeker was obsessed with them both and I'm so glad she finally got to experience them!  She is also tall enough to ride Space Mountain and Splash Mountain but I requested that she wait until our next visit (we're thinking Christmas season) so that I can experience some of her firsts with her!  Being that I'm still recovering from birthing Séamus and a Csection, I wasn't allowed to go onto these rides.  Another exciting note was that Finnley was actually excited and willing to meet the Characters!! She waited in line expectantly and actually smiled for pictures with them!! Oh my heart just melted to see her be so brave!  Finnley and I got to hang out quite a bit since she didn't get to go on all the rides (too short and a broken collarbone) and we really did have a great time.

She LOVED Thunder Mountain

and could ride Radiator Springs Racers all day long!

Finnley loved herself some Minnie and Mickey Mouse!

Ellie is always all about her baby bro!

the White Rabbit's house is always their favorite hang out!  This was the very first time we were able to take copious amounts of pictures without any other kids trying to get in on the action!!

My girls with their girl Moana!!

Séamus being initiated to the Dark Side by Kylo Ren

but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to meet Rey.

We really had a fantastic trip!! We can't wait to go back and enjoy the park as a Family of Five again!!!!

    1. Yes!! We did less than we normally do because of the heat. I never even made it across the bridge to Pixar Pier!! I guess I’m just saving something for our next visit!
