{weekly update} week 51

Shut the front door Ellie Faith is 51 weeks old today! That leaves just one more week and she is a one-year-old!! What a joy this little girl is I just love her so very much. Her little personality shines through more and more every day and has the cutest expressions on her face all the time.

Eats: just about anything we put in front of her. She definitely prefers to self eat now over being spoonfed but I just can't bring myself to give her yogurt to eat with her hands at this point. She still is enjoying drinking from her bottle but also does very well with her straw sippy cup. She loves her chocolate pudding a.k.a. prunes and they really help get things moving inside her body.

Sleeps: we had three successful nights this past week with Ellie staying in her crib all night long. Those nights were so nice but I have to admit I missed her in bed and enjoy it when she wakes up in the middle of the night to come into bed with us. I just love this little girl so much.

Goes: the usual: out shopping, going to church, and going to restaurants is what this girl loves to do. She also got to spend all day on Saturday with her daddy going to tennis subdistricts since he is coaching tennis this season. And we had a little accident with her falling over and had to go to urgent care, luckily she righted everything on her own and is just happy as a clam.

Loves: again anything that makes noise, helping me with the laundry, crawling everywhere, eating food, her Nanny, and Miss J. She also loves to push anything around to try and walk  and pulling up on lots of different things, she is extremely curious.

Does:  Rolls over, pulls up on just about anything, crawling everywhere, and has taken two steps by herself (I think were pretty close!!) Ellie also has four teeth on bottom one tooth on top with another tooth on top cutting through. She says dada, lala, Baba, waves hello/goodbye, claps her hands and signs more, and also shakes her head no.

Mama: I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day with this little nugget!  She was such a joy and the weather was beautiful!  We worked outside in the gardens weeding and planting veggies. Also  I hosted the bridal shower for my future SIL and had a great time. Now that that is over though I can put all my focus and effort into Ellie's first birthday!!

My dear Ellie Faith how I love you so so much. You're the sweetest little girl and I love hearing you "talking" and I love seeing your smile. You're so cute how you kick your legs so fast and get super excited when you see someone you love! My dear sweet girl one more week and then you no longer a baby but a little toddler and I cannot wait.

  1. She's just so adorable! Yay for an almost one year old! As for yogurt -- does she eat out of food pouches? I have resuable ones that I still use with Callie for yogurt!

  3. I love that you call prunes chocolate pudding! Well, and that she likes them! I had to eat them a lot as a child and I remember HATING the stuff but now that I'm an old fart (jk), I don't mind the fresh ones.
