The Séamus Weekly - week 42

Just 10 more weeks and this little man is going to be a ONE year old!! how on earth is that happening??

Eats: Séamus is still all about the boob and will nurse multiple times a day, though we're sleeping through the night and my boobs are still pretty full in the morning but it's so nice to get all the sleep.  He is absolutely loving feeding himself.  Right now he is loving all the things but mostly: buttered noodles, graham crackers, pirates booty, hummus, tuna salad, and chicken salad.

Sleeps: Through. The. Night. yes ma'am, we've finally arrived!! Not only that but he is falling asleep on his own 🙌.  I am loving our bedtime routine right now and it's obviously working.  So here is what we're doing: when we change his diaper we are giving him a massage with our Whipped Body Butter (coconut oil + shea butter + frankincense + gentle baby + lavender), apply his Baby Roller (jojoba oil + frankincense + lavender + gentle baby) to the soles of his feet, spray his crib with Seedlings Linen Spray, start up his diffuser (peace & calming + sleepyize), and then nursing on the couch.  Once he's done nursing we all give him kisses and hugs, I take him into his room and sing his song, then lay him down in his crib and turn on his sound machine. All of my Essential Oils are from here.  He does get up around 5am for a morning nursing session and then back to sleep in our bed for another hour or so.  Most of his naps this week have been in the car seat and he has been such a good boy.

Does: Séamus is crawling all over, playing with all the toys and still finding all the things he's not allowed to have (charging cords, shoes, bags, etc).  He pulls up on everything and is so fast.  His favorite places are the bathroom and laundry room 😩.  We pulled out the walker and he is pushing it all over the house and loves that so much that he is turning lots of other items in our house into walkers!  He is feeding himself, still loves the bathtub, and crawls all around the trampoline.

Goes: Finnley had an eye appointment this week and she did so good! Séamus was quite the champ, he nursed, hung out in the Ergo, and just watched the whole thing....he did get a little squirrely during part of her exam but over all he was a good boy.  We celebrated Mother's Day with a day trip to Bainbridge Island to check out the Bloedel Reserve, a garden I've been wanting to visit for over 5 years, it was worth the wait and I so hope we can go back soon! Of course we visited Target (we had taken a break for a little bit but now with birthday season upon us we're hitting it up a little more frequently - plus their Mickey waffles and ice cream bars are cheaper...).  We stopped in at the Post Office to send out some welcome packages and happy mail for my Oils Business and there was no line!! The quickest trip to the PO we've ever had! We also stopped in at Ellie's school to help set up for Muffins with M'Lady (aka Muffins with Moms) little man hung out in the stroller while the girls set up the chairs and then also attended the event which was so much fun!

Mama: my sweet boy I love him so very much!  We hit the 40 weeks and 5 days on the outside and I can't even tell you how much more I've enjoyed these weeks with him here.  He is so happy and joyful, fun and sweet.  We totally lucked out with the best baby boy as our Grand Finale!  I am just soaking up all of this goodness, I adored Mother's Day with my three kiddos and Thomas too!  I just feel so so happy and blessed to get to be living this life.

Sisters: They absolutely LOVE each other and it makes me so so happy! The girls get along so well most of the time, they do have the occasional spat. Finnley is still obsessed with getting all up in Séamuses grill and carrying him all around - sometimes it's helpful but mostly it it's unnecessary. Ellie is a great helper still but has now decided that she does NOT want to be the babysitter so I can't count on her to keep an eye on him when I run to feed the animals.  Séamus absolutely adores his sisters and just wants to be with them all the time. He is constantly crawling around after them and screams when they scream, it's the cutest thing!
